As the Clinical Director at Crisis Support Services I have the opportunity to work with individuals, families, and groups coping with suicidal experiences and loss. In partnership with colleagues, I have developed and implemented trainings for clinicians and community members on taking a collaborative approach to managing suicide risk.
I have also had the opportunity to develop clinical trainings related to grief, using a narrative therapy focused approach, and oversaw the implementation of several bereavement groups, including bereavement related to suicide loss.
I have extensive clinical experience working with young people aged 11 to 24, with a focus on individuals and families from underserved populations. Through working at PREP Alameda I received extensive training on diagnosing and specialized approaches to working with people newly diagnosed with psychotic disorders.
I have an interest in supporting clinicians who have lost clients and I co-facilitate a free monthly drop in group called Mental Health Providers as Grief Survivors. More information here.
